Our message to the BNP: No Pasaran

The recent decision by the Spanish government to bestow citizenship on the remaining British members of the International Brigade is long overdue but cause for celebration nonetheless. Over 2,000 men and women from this country were so appalled at the prospect of another European country succumbing to fascism, flocked to the aid of the democratically elected left wing Spanish Republican government. Their courage, idealism and commitment should be an inspiration to us all.

Today, our generation needs to find its own way of countering the fascists in our midst, we too need to take a stand against the vile manifesto of hate and despair articulated by the BNP.

I figure you are right to be concerned by the BNP. They say the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. You are right to be vigilant.

The problem with living in a free society where we have free speech is that we have to tolerate their right to talk rubbish to safeguard our own rights to free speech.

A good thing is as soon as they actually have to justify what they say their arguments can and should be torn to pieces.

I don't see them as so much of a problem because their support is small. It just looks bigger in proportion when the bigger parties get their support slashed because people don't trust them or are disgusted with them.

You want to counter them? Point out what rubbish they talk, Make them look like what they are. Small minded, predudiced, stupid, ignorant and wrong

sorry, but seeing as they are democratically elected, do we really have a right to try and limit them? Thats democracy im afraid...parties will gain seats, and you have to accept that whether you like it or not. If you cant deal with that, then theres plenty of un-democratic countries you can retreat to...Zimbabwe being one
