If she's physically and mentally capable of continuing, there's no reason why she should abdicate. If she's got her mother's longevity she may even become Europe's longest reigning monarch.
It's not a job.
Seems to me that there is a great deal of respect for her with the exception of a noteable British Historian, who described her as an artistic phillistine. I think most people could live with that. Here in Australia, she is respected, but considered irrelevant. Benign indifference I think.
Let her carry on. Then we will have referendum on republic when she dies. How can a hereditary monarchy be compatible with modern social democracy - or modern democracy period?
