It was inevitable, wasn't it? The beleaguered Tory leader has had time to think whilst holidaying in France and has come back with a 'fresh' new agenda for the autumn. Cameron will now try and position himself as the 'heir to Howard' with a series of speeches that will try and portray how tough he is and how he and the Tories have the right policies to deal with the anarchy in the UK.
Will it work? Well he could always consult his mates and ask them what they think. I would start with William, then ask Iain and finally book some time for a quiet chat with Michael.
